If you and your partner Mimi London have a video of furniture being made using former barn timbers and siding I would be happy to recommend your designs on our website.
I am sensitive to Environmental issues and I feel your work is a good example of respecting our planet.
You can E-mail the URL and anything you want to say about the furniture. This would make a nice birthday gift for a "green" client.

Thank you,
Cheryle

Hi Mark,
I saw your work for the Greenroom at the Primetime Emmy Awards. Great job!
I am planning a "wow" Birthday event for some very spoiled New Yorkers and need something elegant but not too stuffy. Any ideas?
We are an exclusive company devoted to Birthdays
only.

Hello, Tim.
The lamp is made of spruce and can be done in many differenct finishes. In the photo, it's in "English Pine" finish. The shade is natural ivory linen. It's called the "Column Lamp". Call my showroom at 310.855.2567 and we'll be happy to get you more information.
Thank you!

Hi Mark--

I love the lamp behind your signature in the image on the top of the page. I think that I saw it featured years ago in AD. What is the name so that I can obtain a price from the showroom?

Best,
Tim

Elke, Great to hear from you! Your comment made me chuckle. My assistant gave me an email that was sent to our company's general mailbox-- which I think included your number, I'll ask her for it and will give a call to say hello.

Andrew, I attended Virginia Tech. Their architecture and design program is ranked among the best in the U.S. If you search "Virginia Tech Magazine", there is a new article about my education there and subsequent career path. Good luck!

Hi Mark
I just read the article in the fall 2008 VaTech mag..Congrats on your outrageous success! It has been many years and I feel as though I have been under a rock when reading about all your accomplishments. Would love to hear from you. Funny thing is that I still have the program from the Roanoke Gala, and to this day still make the spinach balls with dry mustard recipe!!
Now if that doesn't take you way back.

Hi Mark,

I have been interested in architectural design since I was very young and am considering going to school to get a degree. I have worked in the constrction field to gain knowledge about building practices and materials. Three years building and installing custom cabinets, one year in electrical instalation, and five years in custom home building. There are alot of schools out there and they all say there the best. so i am wondering if you have any recommendations for a good school to attend. Any thing would help

Thanks alot and have a great day!

Hi Mark, I am an American architect living in Italy with my Italian architect wife. We have just started to represent a wonderful company here in Northern Italy that makes the most beautiful authentic antique wood flooring. It's a product that requires that 80% of the work be done by hand because the old wood requres lots of cleaning and careful preparation and thus it becomes expensive compared to the typical wood flooring on the market. You can see their web site here http://www.pavimentiantichi.com/eng/index.asp My question and I hope you don't mind answering is are there clients willing to pay the kind of prices required to have a product like this. I'll tell you that the prices will range from $17 to $50 per square foot plus shipping. This product does sell very well in Europe.

Thank you, John
